All moms rock – I don’t care what Time magazine has to say this week.

I’ve ever laid eyes on. . .

I wish I could remember to TAKE, much less share, the outtakes more often. Sometimes you see a pretty picture & you really have noooooo idea how hard somebody worked for it. In this case, I can’t say it was me! It usually is, but on this day, this momma & her momma worked HARD for the pictures you see above. I don’t know what it is about us mommas that makes us crazy over getting a picture of our kids . . . but most of us are guilty!

this post deserves a title, but after 20 minutes, I give up.

You wouldn’t doubt me if I said this session was truly a blast would you??

because if you need to doubt that, I’ll have to yell it . . . BECAUSE IT WAS SO FUN FOR ME. I think that must show;o)

An honest high. The light, the land, the color, the anthro, the lovely people . . . loveliness always shines through brightly.

(and a baby on the way!!!! Always good news.)

Brooke - How cute is that!! It’s like a little window IN THE MIDDLE OF A WILDFLOWER FIELD!! I love this. Very, very creative. Gorgeous family. That little girl is adorable.

Brooke - And, no way would I chance my computer crashing! OMG.

Carol Swaitkewich - LOVE this Allison!! The light is so pretty and your clients are gorgeous and those curtains are to die for!

ps, this is the best post title EVER! I don’t know how long I sit in front of my computer trying to think up a good title sometimes.

Emily - Gorgeous photos! No computer crashing here! :)

Sandy - Stunning!

There’s just something about a baby that can make anyone smile.

I can’t say enough. . .

1. I love mommas with their babies.

2. I love 6 month old, barely sitting up, gummy grinnin’ babies!

3. I can’t believe how fast they change!! Her approximately 6 months ago, as a fresh newborn baby.

These things make me smile. Along with this beautiful Texas land that we had access to this year!!

Olivia Summers - These are just gorgeous! I really love that last one of her eyes. And I love the mommy ones too! Beautiful pictures. I know these will be cherished.

Newborns & Bluebonnets – two words you won’t ever hear together!

I can’t say that I would ever recommend attempting a newborn session in the Bluebonnets. In fact, I did advise against it when her mom asked me;o)

Then, she did the unthinkable. She begged (pretty please with a home made dress on top).

So, I crumbled.

And I said, “ok. BUT, there is so much that could go wrong & you have to remember that. AND, we only have 45 minutes!! So, we might only get 1 picture. Are you suuuure??!”

yes!!! she says. She may have had more faith than me;o)

On that note, I am excited she now has these pictures of her sweet FOURTH baby. wow.

In all of the 10 frames we shot – that baby smiled twice!

(I should note that we had a bed just adjacent to us to get this sweet baby ready on. We did all of the settling there & moved her for a quick picture. An assistant [a highly over qualified one at that;o)] was also sitting here beside her.)

Jennifer - your work makes me smile. these are amazing!

How about this weather??

oh how I love this age! Barely crawling, but not running away yet! Social, and smiley, and sweet but still a baby. Her brother was just as sweet, he just made me work harder;o) We hunted for bugs outside while his sister took a break. And, he really liked throwing rocks at me?? Good thing I can duck & focus at the same time? New skill. Didn’t know I was so good at it! Whatever works for a smile sometimes. (they were tiny rocks. very tiny)

If you’re in Houston or The Woodlands . . . you know why I’m signing off quickly! This weather is amazing. It’s not usually so enjoyable outdoors here. So, we are soaking up every minute we can.

Go enjoy it!!

Cindy cook - Beautiful! The photos with mom are absolutely priceless. What a cute family.

Anne James - I just love everything you do! The pictures with mom are too sweet, but that soft light is amazing. Adorable kiddos!
