oh brother.

I love this . . .

Big brother is admiring his new sister, taking her all in . . .

then *poke*

Right in the eyeball . . .

He’ll make a great big brother.

These were taken just before Christmas . . . so yeeeesssss. We are done with the Christmas light bokeh for now. They live all the way on the other side of Houston from me, in Memorial . . . I didn’t even know where Memorial was until this day! I’m serious. I never leave The Woodlands. (except when I’m paid to!) Beautiful area. I was surprised at all the huge trees! I guess that’s one of the reasons people like that area. I get it now. They made such a pretty backdrop for out door pictures. Gotta love Houston – a week before Christmas & dad broke a sweat.

Benna - What a pretty family. I love them all!

baby reverence.

I CONTINUE to be amazed by the warp speed at which babies grow. How does one little newborn go from

this quiet life (their maternity session at sunset)

to

this tiny innocent little newborn baby (his newborn session)

to THIS! His little-chunker-suspender-wearin-almost-sitting-up-holiday-session . . .

and all in the blink of an eye. Just wait – he’ll be back in a few weeks & I can’t even believe it. It makes me happy and sad all at the same time.

ahhh-choo!!!!!!

I don’t know what is in the air . . . but we are sick, sick, sick.

sneeze, cough, repeat. repeat. repeat.

I HATE BEING SICK. It does not work well with my schedule.

This session was so long ago now, that I’ll be seeing their lovely little faces again this week!! (considering I can quit sneezing for a minute)

I’m pretty sure they have both grown like weeds since they were here last. That’s what I heard anyway. I bet he’ll be walking so soon – yikes. And how many teeth will she be missing now??

Michelle Guzman - Such beautiful kids!

Rhena - Adorable!! They are too cute. I love the giggle shot of them both.

perfection in details.

We’ve been working really hard on making a little natural light shooting space for newborn sessions here! Complete with all of my little newborn props that were exploding out of every nook & cranny in my house! Some of you have seen my facebook pictures of my living room when my prop closet exploded last year. All teasing aside. It’s really not funny how much stuff I have “acquired”. But, hopefully this new space will be perfect for what we need now. I have the best father in law in all of Houston helping me make it “perfect” for my needs . . . I mean seriously, apparently architects major in “perfect” because every. single. detail. is about as thought out as the creation of a newborn. Which makes it all that much more perfect!!! giggle. Kidding aside – I’m beyond thankful, because I’m the queen of ‘throw it together and make it look good until it falls apart’ & could never tackle something like this without him. Plus he’s family – so I’m getting a killer deal. It’s quite literally highway robbery. I may have sold my soul and I still owe him majorly  . . . any thoughts??

Anywhoo, the lovely little doll below came with both her grandmothers to my make shift studio area (at the time), which is muuuuch more complete since they were here. I told them I kind of got nervous having an “audience” for a second. I felt like I was performing or something (and you know how I feel about that). Then I realized how much they were focusing on their sweet newborn baby & could have cared less what I was doing;o) There were lots of ooohs & aaaahhs behind me & I guarantee from their angle – it wasn’t for me. I think I heard, “Isn’t she just so perfect?” from one grandmother.

Hopefully I’ll be able to share the space in pictures soon. But, for now you can enjoy another wonderfully and fearfully made little human and the light that I love to watch grace all their tiny pieces;o)

peace out. It’s FRIDAY!!!! yeah. buddy.

Annie - So sweet! She is perfect.

jill - Miss Gracie is a beautiful girl.

Erika - Wow. I looove these! Nice job.

Sara Bass - What a beautiful model you have here! Thank you for your patience and vision! You’re amazing!

Heather - Oh goodness me. These are amazing Allison. I love all the colors & these sweet babies!!! Quit. please. I’m dying.

Will our January showers bring this back?? I can hope.

I would give all the money in the world for this last image. I secretly wish I could photoshop myself & at least one of my kids (whoever wanted to cooperate) right in their places.

someday . . .

Families that have 2 daughters (or more even) have a special place in my heart. You just don’t understand the level of whining, giggling, crying, shrieking, pinching, and sassiness that goes on in a house with more than one girl unless you are in that situation. It gets dramatic, emotional, FUN and scary at the drop of a hat crayon. You just never know with girls;o) This session was full of all of those things! And I appreciated every second of it.

Amy - Amazing!!!!

allison - wow. Thank you very much!

Tierun - I am so in love with your pictures. Amazing.

Hailey - OH MY! I love this session soooo much. Those last ones with mom & the ones with dad too. They are just all so great. Really adorable session! Great!
