This little man had the most perfect skin. I really didn’t do much at all when processing, he just kind of glowed.
He’s gonna be tough (but sweet) . . . he’s gonna have to be – his big sister is a fiery red-head! Sooo apropos that he got to use the vintage Winchester ammunition cartridge box I’ve been saving for the past few years! (found it in my granddaddy’s barn . . . it holds photo albums in our house when it’s not too busy serving as a comfy little cot in the yard for sweet newborn booties;o)) Actually, newborn booties are anything but sweet . . . but they sure look sweet in vintage boxes;o)
A storm rolled in just as we were shooting this last pictures – no, like for real . . . it just started raining just as we sat him down. After I snapped a couple . . . we scooped him up + all the camera gear and 2 wet iPhones, I was sure we had done all that work and nothing would come out of it. (for the record – it was just a summer shower – no lightning, etc)
Well, I’m actually very ok with this last shot. I reeeally love how the afghan is blowing in the wind and the storm made Lake Conroe extra choppy & gave us some sweet texture.
Oh, sure, of course I planned it that way;o) I should have led with that!
Jake, you rock! It will be no time before you’re zipping around on your skateboard with your big brother, fishing with your cousins and dishin’ it out to your big sister. Can’t wait to see life unfold for all FIVE of you!
