sneeze, cough, repeat. repeat. repeat.

I HATE BEING SICK. It does not work well with my schedule.

This session was so long ago now, that I’ll be seeing their lovely little faces again this week!! (considering I can quit sneezing for a minute)

I’m pretty sure they have both grown like weeds since they were here last. That’s what I heard anyway. I bet he’ll be walking so soon – yikes. And how many teeth will she be missing now??

And, Parker’s dad looked at me like I was crazy a lot (who can blame him). And, Parker’s mom slapped Parker’s dad on the arm a lot & told him to quit it. And, I stood on the hood of my (white) car to get one of these shots & my boots made a black mark that my husband is still mad about. It will come off I keep telling him, I just haven’t had time to remove it. It will!

And, the best part . . .  they looked cute the whole time. And, I was just a sweaty mess when we were all done.

And, I really do start my sentences with ‘and’ a lot. And, I’m going to work on dropping that habit.

sooooo, I just had to get that out of my system.

Is she not the most delicate little thing you’ve ever seen!? Her momma drove her up to me in The Woodlands, all the way from the Heights for this little 1st  birthday mini-session. I had not seen her since she was a few days old. I loved her cake for the cake smash. They even brought me my own special cupcake, which I super appreciate . . . because who can stare a gorgeous cake in the face & not want a bite?? Definitely not me.

She’s such an expressive little bit. She’ll be a talker I bet.

A lot changed in this family’s life this year! This was them about this time last year at her newborn session . . .

I’m sorry . . . wait, no I’m not.

. . . but, I’ll never get tired of a dad throwing his little boy up into the air. It’s just always a good shot. Works every time (well, considering I can focus on the flying child). If you’re a parent, you know how much kids like to swing, be swung, be twirled and jump & be caught. The little one always looks back at their dad with this look of sheer trust, excitement and extreme (I mean extreme) unfiltered enjoyment. It’s just one of my favorite shots of little boys.

Aren’t they the happiest looking bunch?! They really are that way. I always leave their sessions a tad bit drained but very happy. They have a lot of energy And, that’s a good thing – they need it! I probably can’t quote this mom’s new tagline for dealing with her guys in public . . . but it’s hilarious & I’ll never forget it. You’ll just have to trust me. Ask me in person & I’ll probably tell you.

Their Christmas card was reeaally one of the cutest this year – but if feels really weird sharing Christmas cards now that it’s mid January – so I guess I’m over that trend.

And his mom brought the very cute smash cake from here.  It was one of the cutest I’ve seen! It tasted really good too;o)

Lots of dirt.

This flare was a complete accident . . . There I was sitting on the ground armed & ready. As I followed him up bam – I was almost blinded. How it’s in focus, I’ll never know.

He did work hard for me before all that playing (in the dirt). He even posed like a big boy! What a difference a year makes.  Check him out last year here & read more about their family’s farm. I can’t tell you how much better a tomato tastes from Atkinson’s farm vs. the grocery store. Soooooo delicious, so red, so yummy. The color is so much richer too. So red. I don’t know what the difference is, but it was obvious. Just sayin.
