Allow me to translate ‘baby’ for you . . .

“Seriously?? You sit me in a box in the middle of a field, put stupid hats on me & expect me to smile? I want my bottle & my mommy. Now.”

I really loved their family’s land where we met for this session. It was north of The Woodlands. I’m not even sure exactly where?! But, it was so relaxing . . . it felt like a mix of Abilene with all the memorabilia & my granddaddy’s farm in TN. Not sure it gets much better than that. I’ll house sit any time guys . . . and that rope/tree swing . . . still daydreaming of pictures in it.

And, I really loved their Christmas card & ornament.

Anne - Eeeek! What a doll! Love these.

Why wouldn’t you wear ornaments for earrings. Makes perfect sense.

This felt like a “festive” session to share today! Makes me smile.

Whatever you do tonight . . . don’t loose your keys. That would be bad.

Goodbye Two-thousand-eleven.

Amber - How cute!! I love that first picture. They are adorable. Really awesome pictures!

Jennifer - ah my sweet girls! You are so good! Happy 2012! Love ya!

How to get a variety of smiles from a child under 2!

1. First off, photograph really awesome kids like this guy! Tons of personality . . . um, lucky me.

2. play games . . . peek-a-boo, I Spy, Where’s Daddy?? (behind the reflector – duh.) I think that was what we were playing in this first set . . . but seriously – this boy is way easy to photograph – no games needed. Just some flirty eyes & he was all mine.

3. zoom lens & tickle monster . . . super suspenseful tickle monster works best. You must be a good/fast focuser for this one! And if you fall down backing up – be ready to snap anyway! It’s extra hilarious. I may or may not have ever fallen on my rear. I’ll never tell.

And, I won’t lie, Ryder makes this job super easy . . . see?? He’s a pro, check him out here: Watermelon.

Love this kid . . . he makes me look good.

Heather - Oh my gosh! They are so precious! I love that big family picture & he just doesn’t take a bad picture does he! Beautiful pictures.

Leah Cook - absolutely adorable and beautiful images, Allison!!! you’re so funny too =)

Sam - Whoa! How cute is he?? Super cute fam.

Amber - These are beautiful!! I love your processing. So soft & sweet & minimal. Perfection.
