PEACE, LOVE & HOLIDAY MINI SESSIONS! {The Woodlands, Tx photography}

Ok. I’m ready . . . Let’s do these the weekend of October 24th. The football schedule is mostly clear & hopefully it will be nice & cool by then ( at least 74 & not 94).  I’m going to take up to 10 families. If you’ll just email me, we’ll plan times times work for both of us (will probably be early morning & late afternoon evening for best light). These will be mini-sessions – so please – don’t ask me if you can make substitutions and your session will be 30 minutes. If you want a more personalized session or more of my time, please book a full session. I kind of designed these with those of you in mind that have already emailed me! So, here are the extra details:

- if you’re interested in creating your own Christmas cards go to Mango Ink and check out their designs this year. I will send the digital file you select to them & then you can design your own! Their cards are matted on eco-friendly paper, which alone makes them stand out among their competition. They also hand-mount their cards on card-stock & that makes me wanna’ take a bite of them. They’re just yummy.

- purse albums . . .  you’ll just have to trust me. These are the coolest little things in the world. They’re 3×3 inches, covered in linen (color matches your album), and printed on pearl or linen art paper. It’s not just your images shoved in a book. I custom design each of them. They fold up to fit in your purse OR they can easily be unfolded & set up as a desk display. These would be a potent little Christmas gift to any doting grandmother.

- my custom designed Christmas cards . . . just to avoid the emails asking if you can see them before you decide, I’m posting 1 example. I won’t post them all, because it’s no fun for everyone to see your cards before you mail them out! I want them to be unique & special. I will further customize each set to match the colors in your images for continuity of design. If you really need to see them all – email me & I will send you small pictures of them after you’ve booked a session. I promise – they’re cooler than anything you’ll get this year;o) They’re all “accordian style” as seen below. They will be printed on pearl or linen art paper. I have a nice mix of both classic & funky designs to choose from. The annoying red lines are not printed on the card, just guides for you to see where the card “folds.”  My favorite thing about these is Grandma Sue can set these up on her mantel to display your purty faces.  They’re just the best of the best. Yes, you can have more than 49 . . . It’s $55 for an additional 25 cards.

- art prints – if you’re not a returning client let me explain . .  .these are printed on metallic paper & mounted on mat board. They are then textured at the lab. They’re perfect to just display as they are, or pop into a frame without the glass. They look really nice.

I think that’s just about everything. Bring on the emails – I’m sure I forgot something!

Julie - How can I say no to this? I love this…

Christine - Dude. . . I’m so in. I’m emailing you RIGHT NOW!! Thank you for finally doing this!!

long time no see.

I really have no business blogging, but couldn’t resist these cuties!! We had a little mini-shoot in my new garage studio yesterday. When I say mini, I mean like 20 minutes for both of them. And, when I say “garage studio” – I mean right alongside the lawn mower, cooler and stroller parking area (it’s really not as cool as it sounds). 20 minutes, that was it-THEY-WERE-SO-DONE-WITH-ME! (I’m not really ashamed to say that I bribed the two year old with batteries for her Elmo).

These aren’t my traditional style, but it was fun & this is the set-up I’ll be using for Janie & Jack next week . . . so, wanted to get it all set up! On that note . . . if this more in line with your style (i.e., your house is a little more modern) . . . or you just like it – email me now! If I get enough inquiries I’ll set up a mini-session day just for these. I think this first one would be a perfect Christmas card. Look at all of that negative space on the left for design work, which is exactly why graphic designers like this exact set up for editorial work. Just check out Parents magazine this month – every other page is shot on a white backdrop. I just looked through my mail yesterday, Parents magazine, J.Crew, Boden, Crewcuts, even the Anthropologie catolog (2 back) was shot almost entirely on a white backdrop.

Same studio set-up, different lighting (same 20 minutes). This is probably more in line with my decor . . . just a little softer. I kind of like it for babies;o) Just sweet.

ps – planning on posting mini-session info for the holidays in the next couple of days!! Sorry it’s so overdue. Should be fun. Can’t wait to see some of you again;o)

pps – I am officially booked up clear to the holidays (yes there are a couple of you that aren’t on the books – but if you’ve talked to me – I’m including you in my count). I could work in maybe 1 or 2 evening sessions during November and I’ve been trying to work in newborns & maternity as I can. Other than that – please book a mini-session (esp if you just want Christmas cards).

ppps (?) – It will be quiet around here the next couple of weeks as I take a break to do contract work for Precious Time Photography & shoot for Janie & Jack’s fall promotion. Go spend some $$$$ in Janie & Jack & I’ll see you there! It’d be nice to see some familiar faces:o)

Toki - These are just too, too precious! It’s not easy shooting with a white backdrop and you managed to produce these fun, fresh and clean images. You rock!

maggie I - These are great! Your babies are getting SO BIG! Hopefully when you settle down a bit we can schedule for November. I am so looking forward to it!

Melissa A Lively - Don’t tell your secrets and no one would know it was in your garage!!! :)

Laura Z - Oh My Goodness! I absolutely love love love your photography…I was just thinking that your girls haven’t been around in awhile! They are gorgeous. You are so good. Wish we were closer!

it’s that time again. {The Woodlands, Tx iPhone ART}

cleaned off the phone today . . .

I see lots of “polaroid-esque” photo borders for photoshop. IMHO, most of them are a little cheesy. HOWEVER, these are so terribly cute. If you download the application, you’ll see what I mean. First off, they look very authentic. So, here’s my ‘share’ for the week! Go here. Once you download & install your digital polaroid camera (like seriously – for real – a cute little polaroid camera is installed on your desktop). you just drag & drop a digital image into your camera. Then out pops your polaroid . . . oh but hold on . . . you’ve gotta wait for it to process! It’s a very smart little application. Once it’s finished you can save it. I swear I was so tempted to blow on it or shake it or something. The best part is you don’t need photoshop or anything – so this is for everyone!! Enjoy!!!!

p.s., this may be the last “phreckle-phone” installment (see last post). I’ll have to think of something clever. Open for suggestions!

Toki - These are so fun! Thanks for the tip – I will go try it out.

Yvonne - These are so much fun!

news!

There are a couple of you (probably just a couple;o)), that are dying to hear more about THIS. So, here’s a little sneak peek of things to come . . . and it’s not a tiny sneak peek this time, IT’S THE REAL FREAKIN’ DEAL!

~Click here~

Ashley & Tyrie have worked so hard for me & my little company. They are so talented at what they do. If you’ve ever held a conversation with me, you know how distractible and tangential I can be. They wrangled my thoughts beautifully & I’m so pleased.     . . . What’dya’ think?? Still lots more going on. More soon!

Later.

Allison
